I was 13 years old when Oprah made her debut. I am fully a Oprah generation woman. If you didn’t get a chance to see her final episode, I would highly recommend you find a friend who PVRed it. Take an hour and sit yourself down and take it in. (All you eye roller non-Oprah fans, I dare you to actually do this:)
She talks about her guiding principles that she has learned and practised during her 25 years “holding the mic” for over 30,000 people. In her final episode she talks about her ability, because of her position, to give validation to people and issues for by giving people a place to be heard.
There are literally a 100 different gems in her Final Episode. I encourage you to take the opportunity to sit and take in the amazing O. Allow yourself to find just one thing that moves you to a deeper level of understanding of your true self, and then “go about the business of getting to it.”
Thanks Oprah!
